1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for services provided by Connoisseur of Luxury (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By making a booking, paying a deposit, or purchasing any travel-related service through Connoisseur of Luxury, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions, as it forms an integral part of your booking agreement with us.

Due to the nature of travel services and the involvement of third-party suppliers, many payments made to Connoisseur of Luxury are non-refundable. Refunds, where applicable, are subject to supplier terms, timing of cancellation, and the specific circumstances of each booking.

This Refund Policy applies to all customers worldwide.

2. Planning Fees

Connoisseur of Luxury may charge planning, consultation, or itinerary design fees for bespoke travel planning and concierge-style services.

All planning fees are non-refundable once work has commenced. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Research and itinerary design
  • Supplier sourcing and availability checks
  • Custom recommendations and proposals
  • Ongoing consultation and revisions

Planning fees are charged for professional time, expertise, and resources and are separate from any travel bookings. Payment of a planning fee does not guarantee availability, pricing, or confirmation of any third-party travel services.

If a customer chooses not to proceed with a booking after receiving a bespoke itinerary or planning service, the planning fee remains non-refundable.

Where a planning fee is credited toward a final booking, this will be clearly communicated in writing at the time of payment. Any credited amount remains subject to the terms of this Refund Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

3. Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure any booking made through Connoisseur of Luxury, including but not limited to group trips, retreats, bespoke itineraries, and individual travel services.

Deposits are used to secure reservations and cover upfront costs with third-party suppliers. For this reason, all deposits are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Change of mind
  • Personal circumstances
  • Illness or injury
  • Travel restrictions
  • Visa issues
  • Failure to attend or complete the trip

No booking is confirmed until the deposit has been received and acknowledged by Connoisseur of Luxury in writing.

In some cases, deposits may be transferable to another trip or future booking at our sole discretion. Any such transfer is not guaranteed and will be confirmed in writing where applicable.

4. Final Payments

All bookings made through Connoisseur of Luxury must be paid in full by the final payment due date specified at the time of booking.

Final payments are non-refundable once received, unless otherwise stated in writing. This is due to the fact that final balances are typically paid to third-party suppliers who operate under strict non-refund policies.

Failure to make the final payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking. In such cases, any deposits and payments already made will remain non-refundable, and Connoisseur of Luxury reserves the right to release the booking to another customer.

Where payment plans or instalment options are offered, customers remain fully responsible for ensuring payments are made on time. Use of third-party instalment or finance providers does not alter the non-refundability of final payments.

5. Cancellations

Cancellations by the Customer

If you wish to cancel your booking for any reason, you must notify Connoisseur of Luxury in writing. The date on which we receive written notice will determine the applicable terms.

All planning fees, deposits, and final payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing. This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including but not limited to personal circumstances, illness, changes in work commitments, travel restrictions, or failure to attend.

Any refund eligibility is subject to the terms and conditions of third-party suppliers involved in the booking. Where a supplier permits a refund, this will be processed in accordance with our Refund Policy and after any applicable administration fees have been deducted.

No-Shows & Early Departures

Failure to attend a trip, arrive on time, or complete a trip once commenced, including early departure, will be treated as a cancellation and will not be eligible for a refund.

Name Changes & Transfers

Requests to transfer a booking to another person may be considered at our discretion and are subject to supplier approval. Additional charges may apply. Transfers are not guaranteed.

Changes by Connoisseur of Luxury

In rare circumstances, Connoisseur of Luxury may need to cancel or make changes to a booking, trip, itinerary, or service due to factors beyond our reasonable control. This may include, but is not limited to, insufficient group numbers, supplier issues, safety concerns, force majeure events, or operational requirements.

Changes

Where changes are required, we will make reasonable efforts to offer suitable alternatives of a comparable standard and value. Minor changes do not entitle the customer to a refund.

Cancellations

If we are required to cancel a booking or trip, customers may be offered one of the following options, at our discretion:

  • A transfer to an alternative trip or future date
  • A credit toward a future booking
  • A refund of amounts paid directly to Connoisseur of Luxury, excluding non-refundable third-party costs and planning fees

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed in accordance with this Refund Policy and subject to supplier terms.

Force Majeure

Connoisseur of Luxury shall not be liable for cancellations or changes resulting from force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, travel restrictions, strikes, civil unrest, or extreme weather conditions. In such cases, refunds are not guaranteed and will depend on supplier policies.

6. Supplier Refund Policies

Many services booked through Connoisseur of Luxury are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including airlines, accommodation providers, transport services, tour operators, and activity providers.

Refunds for any part of your booking are subject to the specific terms and conditions of these third-party suppliers. Connoisseur of Luxury has no control over supplier refund decisions once payments have been made on your behalf.

Where a third-party supplier issues a refund, it will be processed in accordance with their terms and returned to the customer after any applicable administration fees, transaction fees, or non-refundable costs have been deducted.

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible and are typically completed within 14–30 working days from confirmation. Processing times may vary depending on banks, payment providers, or supplier delays.

Connoisseur of Luxury is not responsible for delays, partial refunds, or refusals issued by third-party suppliers and cannot guarantee refunds for services deemed non-refundable under supplier policies.

7. No-Shows & Missed Services

Failure to attend, arrive on time for, or participate in any part of a booked service will be treated as a no-show or missed service.

No-shows and missed services are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Flights, transfers, tours, excursions, or activities
  • Accommodation nights not used
  • Group trip activities or scheduled experiences
  • Late arrival resulting in missed services
  • Early departure or failure to complete a trip once commenced

Refunds will not be issued for any unused, missed, or partially used services, regardless of the reason, including personal circumstances, illness, travel delays, or failure to meet meeting points or schedules.

It is the customer’s responsibility to arrive on time and be prepared to participate in all scheduled services. Any costs arising from missed services are the sole responsibility of the customer.

8. Changes & Amendments

Connoisseur of Luxury reserves the right to update, amend, or modify this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.

Any changes will be effective immediately upon publication on our website. The version of the Refund Policy in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking, unless otherwise required by law.
